I followed The Hippy Hooker’s free Camera Strap Cover tutorial and I’m happy with the results. The tutorial was easy to follow and the repetitive rows for the majority of the strap were nice and easy to do while watching a movie or two.
I used Lincraft’s Supersoft 8ply yarn (50% micro acrylic/50% micro nylon, 50g/100m) and a 4mm (US6) hook. Continue reading

My old pincushion was looking a bit tired and worn so I got enthusiastic when I found the Crocheted African Flower Pincushion Tutorial from Cherry Heart.
I wanted to use up some scraps of wool so I didn’t put much thought in to the colour choice. While my finished pincushion doesn’t resemble a standard flower, I think it’s turned out quite pretty. Continue reading
